Hi,
I live locally and have a smallish Celestron refractor telescope. I don't use it very often but when I did recently I was unable to get a clear image, and suspect it has succumbed to some fairly agricultural treatment over its lifetime!
Apologies if this is the wrong place for this, but I wondered if anyone had any advice on the best way to either get it mended or, more likely, dispose of it?
Thanks,
Alex
Sorry for the slow reply, Alex.
I'd suggest that you bring your telescope to one of our monthly Blackheath observing sessions where it will be easier for one of our members to look at your 'scope and gage what the problem might be.
Our next session will be taking place on the 22nd September and is free for anyone to attend - you don't have to be a Flamsteed member. Details of the session can be found here:
http://flamsteed.info/event/blackheath-observing-friday-22-september/
This event is weather dependent, of course, and a go/no-go message will be added to the event listing linked above closer to the event time.
