Just curious.
Will a Brexit have any positive/negative/same impact on Britain's involvement with ESA? From ESA perspective, are they getting any benefit and substantial British contributions that they would hope not to be affected and hamper progress in space exploration/research?
more importantly, will Tim Peakes be ejected out of the Space Station? 😉
Oh, we're getting dangerously close to introducing politics to the Flamsteed forums. This day was bound to come 🙂
So much nonsense and scaremongering being spoken on both sides of the debate, that it's difficult to judge where the truth lies.
In this case, I think, it's pretty straightforward. Our membership of ESA is completely separate to our membership of the EU. You don't have to be in the EU to be in ESA (Norway and Switzerland are members of ESA, but are not in the EU).
I don't think Tim Peake should worry 😉
Ha, someone had to dare it 😉 Thanks for that answer and absolutely agree with the scaremongering and rubbish uttered on both sides.
