The headline says " A cloudy time frustrates Londoners waiting to see the solar eclipse".

Brian, that is just so cool! Thanks for that!

Forgive me but I couldn't help but run the article through Google Translate. Actually, it came out pretty well.....

"Armed with the latest generation of telescopes or simple paper glasses, hundreds of people gathered on the morning of Friday at the Greenwich Observatory in London to see the solar eclipse.

But bad weather just frustrating the expectations of London to monitor the phenomenon. The clouds were so many that it was almost impossible to see the sun.

Now, the way is to have patience and wait until 2026, when there will be another solar eclipse in the city.

Reporting by Luis Kawaguti, BBC Brazil in London"

FYI, Brian, spotted this the other day on the RAS website: Brazilian astronomers find newborn stars at the edge of the Galaxy

Andy, Brazilian astronomers are playing a major role in the world of astronomical discovery which is fantastic.  I only translated the headline, not the article but yes that is basically what it said. Some translate programmes are a bit off, very literal.

This is brilliant! Great to see a perspective on the event from overseas.
