Well, while it is not astronomy or astrophotography, I still wanted to share...
These last two days I spent in France have been heartbreaking, frightening and intense... The police, national security and the army were walking and driving up and down the streets with gigantic weapons... The violence these sights conveyed filled me with unease and yet I was so grateful for that feeling.
Aren't we lucky not to be used to such sights in our streets? I felt lucky that all I felt was uneasiness... I never felt the fear of those who live in a place where those guns were more than likely to fire.
And then, as I entered the airport, I was greeted by these screens. A silent, subdued scream of solidarity and indignation.

It is a dreadfully sad day... More attacks… more gunshots in my country this morning. The sun set on our Eiffel tower going into darkness. All these touching signs of peaceful protests.
And these touching and fun tributes... http://www.topito.com/top-dessins-hommage-charlie-hebdo
