Hey all, how have you all been keeping? hope you all have been enjoying the clear skies over the past few weeks and made the most of them. I know i did :)

Just a quick one, when are you guys planning on resuming the evening stargazing events at Blackheath?

Well, 1st September is new moon so as Flamsteed Stargazing events usually aim for the week of a new moon, I suspect 2nd/3rd would be our next stargazing event window.
Rupert/Mike, would I be right in that assumption?
Sorry for the delay in replying. We're targeting first quarter moon in September, as the evenings don't get completely dark in any case.
The next event will be on Friday 9 September, with a weather back-up of Saturday 10 September.

Nice one Mike and no worries about the late response, it's all good mate.

See you guys on the 9th 🙂

We've realised that the "On Blackheath" music festival is taking place next weekend 10-11 September. Although their site is not in the area where we have our observing sessions, we suspect that we will be disrupted by set up activities on the Friday evening, along with parking restrictions, etc.
Therefore, we are putting back the first Blackheath event by two weeks (to avoid the full moon) to 23 or 24 September. See http://flamsteed.info/event/blackheath-observing-friday-23-september-weather-back-up-saturday-24-september/
