I tuned into the press conference just in time to hear the presenter say "Get another glass of wine."

Well, if it's in the interests of science, then okay...

My thoughts exactly. I really don't see what these UKIP johnnies have against Europe. It's a fine place.

"We landed twice" 😀

When he said it lift off again, my heart really sank then as he described the spinning stopping, my heart raced again as that probably meant gravity pulled it back down again, phew.

SO thrilling. Come what may, what has already been achieved was magnificent and I suppose I will look at everything less achieved from here on will be a bonus.

Extraordinary... landed twice!

Landed... bounced... rotated... landed again.

Even more amazing than we first thought!!

Doesn't look like we're going to get any more images or data today... but what a day it's been.

Philae's batteries should last for 60-70 hours. If they can deploy the solar panels successfully, it may even last all the way to perihelion with the Sun, which would be extraordinary.

However, even if communication with Philae is lost tomorrow, the mission has been a resounding success. Once some of the data has been analysed, I suspect we will have made some groundbreaking discoveries.
