A peanut shaped asteroid discovered in May 2014 named '2014 JO25' and 1.3-kilometres long, passes just 0.01175 astronomical units or just over 1 million miles, or 4.57 lunar distances from Earth at 1:24pm (BST) tonight 19th - 20th April. Moon rise is about 3:30am BST on 20 April so, a dark(ish) sky and if clear, this will be observable with a telescope. It passes near a star called Cor Caroli just below the constellation Ursa Major.

Ha, NASA sends nutcracker to eliminate threat.

Another one in  2027 will be just one Lunar distance away.

I would have like to timelapse this asteroid but we've got cloudy skies forecast tonight 🙁
