I imaged hundreds of people flying across the moon…they were inside an aeroplane :p
I saw it 🙂 Very nice!
I've a friend who does that as well, with the Sun and the Moon. He's so good! https://www.flickr.com/photos/adrianjscott/
btw Sumitra, you do not want to even imagine what my decor looks like, its a terrible mishmash of noir movies, sports, “art” and toys for films that begin with “star..” and then there’s sdjfos89hjw=ds
….sorry, bloody R2 just ran over my keyboard, never listens to me…
Tsk, you won't even show a picture?!? My home is also a terrible mishmash of things I pick up here and there 🙂
Btw, I noticed that R2 went on a trip to the south to visit a school friend of mine! I don't know whether you will be green with jealousy if I show you... I'll show you anyway.

Hello all!!
Just to let you know I printed the photos at the weekend! Here is the final selection with a thank you message to all those who helped me get to where I am today 🙂
I've not mounted them as it seems a tricky thing to do, and hopefully the club will help!
Printed photos for the Brighton Photo Fringe Biennial
Although I've not selected the 4th picture some of you might not have suggested, I did take into account all of your helpful comments!
I was initially leaning towards either the Fishing for the Sun and Walking back from the moon picture because they have special meaning to me, and also because of the 'story' aspect of it as Tej, Brian and Andy seemed to also like especially for a non-astro audience.
I was worried they wouldn't come out in print as they were from my compact, but Rupert reassured me.
I picked the Walking back from the Moon as it kept in the blue colour scheme in case several photos were picked as suggested by Christina.
Thank you again for all your help 🙂 Hopefully they pick more than one photo!
Good Luck, though I do not think you will need it.

Thanks, Brian, always so kind 🙂
Again, good luck Sumitra. It must be lovely being able to stand back and admire hard copies of your astrophotos. They look great and I'm sure even better in real-life!

Thanks Christina!! Much appreciated 🙂
I think what I've been appreciating more these last few days are all these photographers at the club asking me how to do it because they've never tried and feel inspired to try astrophotography!
I think that's even better than looking at my own photos!! 🙂
I proposed to a couple of members to join me next time I go out at night to come and have a go with me, and this has turned into being asked to organise some events as more members got interested! Isn't that fantastic?
And then, I was also asked to give a 20 presentation in a couple of weeks time at the next members evening! I'm quite chuffed they are so interested! It's very different to the main interest of this club (Street photography seems their main, with a side of landscape).
Well done Sumitra! I can imagine how it would be an exciting and refreshing change from their normal photography, at least with those that expressed an interest. Glad you're really making a big impression on them. Did they put your frames up in the gallery yet?

Thanks!! 🙂
The frames are not up yet - the selection panel is meeting this afternoon 🙂 I'll know on Tuesday which have been selected!
Flying the flag for astrophotography in Brighton, well done.
Aww, that's fantastic Sumitra! Both the presentation and the opportunity to teach others practically. Nothing better than hands-on experience for learning so I'm sure they'll gain a lot out of joining you out and about, 'on the field.' You've inspired others to give it a go - great stuff!

thank you as well!!
Am quite chuffed, I'm receiving lots of emails at the moment. I will arrange something soon and let you know how it went 🙂
Hello!!
So just wanted to tell you that the Milky Way over the West Pier and the Peter Pan moon were selected for the Fringe from this coming Saturday onwards!
I'm so excited, I think 2 photos out of 4 is great for a new member 🙂
Thanks for all your suggestions and sharing this experience with me :)! You're all invited on the 9th, of course, but I understand you'll only be able to join me in spirit 🙂
What, not all four was selected? Outrageous! Just kidding, brilliant Sumitra, well deserved!
What, not all four was selected? Outrageous!
They had to let some of the other photographers have a chance, too 😉

TEJ!!! Thank you for feeling my pain!!
They had a limit of 70 frames at the fringe, and had twice as many submissions! 🙂
They did not pick the composite Perseid because.... "there's just nothing in it..." I went like "WHAAAAAT? It took me over 5 hours to do, excluding the camera being outside all night as well!"
Actually, perhaps Christina was right, I should have put the Star trails instead, it's got more of a wow factor even if easier to do than the composite Perseids to non Astronomers 🙂
