Fantastic Sumitra. I can see that they where viewing all the images from a purely photographic point of view and not with an astronomers eye.  So when you give them some tuition that will be a good point to start from. I think they made a mistake in not picking the windmill one as well. Still my favourite.

Amazing Sumitra! Two entries selected out of 140 possibilities - that's bloomin' marvellous! You should be very proud of your work!!!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. With you in spirit on the 9th! Make sure you post an update on here so we can hear all about it.

We should definitely have a slide show of members images running as people take their seats at meetings.  I can see Sumitra as a regular contributor.

Yep, defo!

Mike, maybe we can have that royalty-free music you had for your 'Sky This Month' slide show playing on a loop as a kind of muzak welcomer. If I can help, let me know. My skills are pretty basic in this regard but they should get the job done as we're not after any Baftas for 'Best Society Welcome Slide Show'.

It's a good idea... but we need content, people! Get out there and start photographing!

Thanks Brian, I was a little disappointed too that they did not pick the Windmill, but I understand as the West Pier has more of wow factor for the people of Brighton.
I have seen lots of West Pier photos taken by the members, and so this one will be a twist to a 'set' of west pier.

🙂

Thanks Christina! I'm still not realising it's for 'real' 🙂 I've never have had any thing at an exhibition before!

Thank you thank you! I'll take same photos of the event and post them here 🙂

Actually, its a really good idea because I am thinking in terms of getting more members to interact on this forum.  Get members to have a look at the gallery on this website (which hopefully is another means of them "stumbling" upon this forum) and to get out there imaging with even just their smartphones.  Then have them post their images on this forum whereby images will be selected (only from the forum) for the Pre lecture slideshows presented with rhythmic lyrics of Eric Idle's Galaxy song sung live by Andy on stage, which surely would give everyone further incentive 🙂

Further incentive to do what? Emigrate out of earshot?
