FYI, a comet is currently in the process of crashing into the Sun.

The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) picked up the comet early today. You can see the latest 12-hour sequence here: http://sohodata.nascom.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/data_query_search_url?Session=web&Resolution=2&Display=Images&NumImg=30&Types=instrument=LASCO:detector=C3

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you can see the comet on the bottom right hand side of the Sun... and then it progressively gets closer in each frame.

Another image set is here: http://sohodata.nascom.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/data_query_search_url?Session=web&Resolution=2&Display=Images&NumImg=30&Types=instrument=LASCO:detector=C2
