Just spotted this photo on the Space.com site, showing light pollution in Spain and Portugal.
Wow, you guys were lucky to get a few square metres where there's a dark sky at E-Eye!
Nice image... and confirms that we were in just about the darkest spot in the south of Spain. E-Eye is about a third of the way up from the bottom and a third of the way from the left.
Pretty dark there!
Hi all,
Have been thinking about combining data from different levels of light pollution recently, because its hard to get enough exposures in one night at a dark site to remove noise. Im thinking that the data with more light pollution will kill off the fainter bits of the image. Would this actually work well?
