Hi All!
Have you been lucky spotting any shooting stars?

I'm thrilled as I caught some with my camera, alas I did not manage to see any as the last few nights were cloudy until after 1-2am. My camera was willing to stay up after 2am, but I had to go to bed!

Here are some of my shots!

I stacked all the images I took that night to produce some startrails - you should be able to see perhaps 6 Perseids as well as a couple of satellites and the ISS.

Finally, I also created a timelapse with the photos I took! I hope you enjoy it 🙂

Thanks Sumitra, great images. I've already posted my claim on another thread, but here it is again!

I'd not seen your original thread, sorry!!

Wow!! That's a long one, Mike! Puts my babies to shame! 😉 I'm glad it was a successful night in Cudham, I was there in thoughts, and was sad I couldn't make it!

I took a risk by pointing one of my cameras to the south-east, well away from the radiant. That way, though I had less chance of picking up a Perseid, any that I did pick up would most likely have a long trail.

Thanks for this insight, Mike!
From my patio, I was quite limited in where I could point my camera to, with the Moon on one side, city centre light pollution on the other and also the wall of my house! I am lucky that my patio is facing away from the city centre though!

But, importantly, did you catch it with your own eyes too??

I saw 6 or 7 meteors during the evening... think I may have seen the one that I captured on camera, but not certain!

Thanks Tej! Shame I couldn't make it to Cudham! It looks like it was fun!

I did lots of Oohs virtually though 😉

Btw, here is a composite image I have just completed!
