Already taken a look at the fantastic images at the APOTY exhibition at the ROG and hankering for more astrophotography? You might be interested in another exhibition in London showcasing vintage NASA photographs taken between 1961 and 1980. Here's a link to the Gallery:
Haven't seen this one myself yet but flicking through the e-catalogue attainable via the linked website above, it looks good!
Wow! Thanks for highlighting this Christina... I wasn't aware of this exhibition. It looks fantastic. I'll have to try and make it along.
From their press release, it looks like Marek is involved in an event with the exhibition on Wednesday 1 October:
"The exhibition is accompanied by the collateral event Cosmic Sublime: Awe and Wonder in NASA Photography with Dr Marek Kukula, Public Astronomer at the Royal Observatory Greenwich on Wednesday 1 October, 7 pm. Marek is a judge for the Observatory’s Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition and curated the highly acclaimed Visions of the Universe exhibition in 2013, described by Jonathan Jones (The Guardian) as ‘the most beautiful and significant exhibition I have seen in ages.’ Please email henry@breeselittle.com to confirm attendance. Admission is free."
..And thanks for sharing the press release. Was too busy looking at the awe-inspiring photos. Sounds like a good event too!
I have already booked myself a place.
