Can anyone spot the Georgian MP3 player?

Herschel was clearly more advanced than any of us ever thought 😉
Looks like a good idea for a trip in any case.
What music was playing, Bill?
Edit: D'uh, just remembered as I hit 'submit' that Herschel was a composer! Presumably they were playing his greatest hits...
This is a very small museum. It had about eight visitors and fortunately, we all had arrived at different times, so viewing was spread around the building without a large crowd in one room. We were there for just over an hour and saw everything including a presentation commented by Sir Patric Moore.
If all the Flamsteed society visited they would be standing shoulder to shoulder, hardly moving, with three quarters of the members standing outside waiting in a queue.
His workshop was very small, it is therefore amazing how he made telescope in such a tiny space. It had a work bench, a small furnace and a foot treadle lathe.
I'm sorry Andy, I didn't ask what the music was. (I was suffering from Motorway lag)
One picture shows a furnace based on Hershels' original. The other is of the house, which is now the museum. I think you can get an idea of the size. The museum is the basement, ground and first floors only. (And the garden.)
The museum is the basement, ground floor and first floors of the house. (and not a big house!)
The furnace is a replica of Hershels' original.
The garden is planted with typical plants of that period of history.
